Dyno time!

Now that everything was running well, it was time to see what the numbers were. I also wanted someone to double-check my tuning, as it seemed the car was still running rich, even with the new carbs.

I took it to Carb Connection in Kirkland for some dyno tuning.

The results:

Max power: 89.4 HP@5400 RPM

Max torque: 101.4@3800 RPM

Not bad, but a far cry from Nissan’s advertised claim of 130 HP for the SU 2000 and 150 HP for the Solex “B” cam setup. (I still have the SU “A” cam in the car.)
