New pipes

I took Zippy to a local custom mufler shop to replace the nightmare exhaust that the car came with - a huge “fart can” hooked up with flex pipe with near right-angle bends. All held together with bailing wire and tin foil.

I gave them a flex couper and gasket for the manifold end, and they fabricated 2" pipe from there. They were able to get the pipe through the frame by making it a bit more oval.

The muffler is the smallest “turbo” muffler and the tip is cut down from a large one to resemble the stock “megaphone”.

Sounds much better - nice throaty rasp on acceleration.
