Heat shield

Something that is often missing from roadsters is the heat shield which keeps some of the heat from the exhaust mainfold away from the carbs.

This is a nicely refurbished one from Keith Williams.

You can see I finally figured out the plumbing for the heater and return lines. Coolant flows from the head through the intake manifold to the summer/winter valve. From there it either flows through the heater core or back to the water pump. The heater hoses are 5/8" while the rest of the system is 1/2". An adapter is necessary for the heater input and output hoses.

Still need the water pump fitting.
