High noon

As I feared, the distributor gear was one tooth off. The manuals and various write-ups on the web state that the notch should be at 11:25. In that postion I could not line up the stator and reluctor.

After several tries I was able to get the gear positioned so that the slot was at high noon. I then had enough adjustment to properly set the timing.

The big end of the lobe can be either direction, as long as the shaft is oriented the same way.
