Surprise!

Or maybe not so much of a surprise, actually. Cylinder number 1 is full of water, but the rust is not bad, as the valves were closed.

Number 2 is much worse. The valves were open for the 3 years the car sat, and the oil/water mixture condensed inside the cylinder. It is rusted in place.

Zippy turns out to be decidedly Un-Zippy.

I’ve scraped out the rust and have been drenching the pistons with P-B’laster for a few weeks.
